Thank you for join me on my culinary adventure as I sample and document all my (hopefully) tasty and creative meals. I'm looking to expand my eating and cooking horizons, as long as they don't involve mushrooms or olives, or most meats......

I hope you enjoy my food blog (flog?)

New Year's Eve

Dan and I took a mini trip to Boston to celebrate New Year's. We dined at the Historic Parker's Restaurant, which claims to be the birthplace of the Boston Cream Pie.

It was ALOT of food.
Pumpkin and Butternut Squash Bisque, Oysters,
Arugula Salad, Beet Salad,
Seafood Stew, Poached Salmon,
Baked Alaska

Everything was very good, but by the end of the meal I was so stuffed and sleepy that I needed a nap to make it until Midnight.

Now, because we all know that New Year's Resolutions don't kick in until the 4th or 5th of January, here's my dirty little secret.

I flippin love Corned Beef Hash.

(not the prettiest food)

And of course Dan is a good enough to sport to order it also, so I don't feel too guilty. His came over brown bread, topped with (drool) Poached Eggs and Hollandaise, and mine topped with good-ole sunny side up.

Now, back to healthy eating.
