Thank you for join me on my culinary adventure as I sample and document all my (hopefully) tasty and creative meals. I'm looking to expand my eating and cooking horizons, as long as they don't involve mushrooms or olives, or most meats......

I hope you enjoy my food blog (flog?)

Sloppy Joes

In elementary school I always brought a bagged lunch. After all the cooler kids bought their hot meals, the lunch ladies would give away all the extra meals. I can remember putting away 3 sloppy joes in a sitting back then. Turns out, I still can.

Here's a slightly healthier version.

Turkey Sloppy Joes

1 pound ground turkey
1 chopped onion
1 chopped green bell pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup tomato sauce
worchester sauce, salt and ground black pepper to taste

1.In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the turkey, onion, and green pepper; drain off liquids.
2.Stir in the rest of the ingrediants, and heat until thickened.
